About Kr3wcial

Kr3wcial is a multiple award-nominated New Orleans-based hip-hop artist, producer, engineer, and member of the acclaimed collective glbl wrmng. In 2022 alone, he performed at the world-renowned New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, French Quarter Festival, BUKU Music + Art Project, and Pell’s national Am I Still Dreaming tour. In 2021, he supported the Grammy-nominated Tank and the Bangas for a sold-out appearance in New Orleans. Kr3wcial wrote glbl wrmng’s breakout 2021 single, “504,” and has since appeared in Complex, Essence, Okayplayer, 2DopeBoyz, Consequence, DJ Booth, at the NAACP Image Awards, the national championships for Red Bull Dance Your Stye, and as supporting talent for Rakim.

In early 2022, he released Less Than Three, an EP featuring Chicago rapper Mick Jenkins, Montreal singer Kalipop, New Orleans vocalist BLÜ, and Grammy-winning rapper Pell. Mixed by Chad Roby, the EP also features engineering from multiple Grammy-winning mixer “Bassy” Bob Brockmann. The project debuted in his self-designed 3D metaverse space, the “Kr3wniverse,” and was described by Gambit as featuring a “dynamic, soulful style.” He followed its release with a sold-out show in New Orleans, where he performed Less Than Three as well as hits dating back to his 2020 EP, More Love. He received his latest placement in summer 2022, on the season four premiere of FX’s Atlanta as a songwriter on Pell’s “Tew Much.” In late 2022, Kr3wcial was nominated for Best Hip-Hop Artist and Best Hip-Hop Album for OffBeat magazine’s Best of the Beat Music Awards, for which he appeared on New Orleans’s seminal morning news program, “Great Day Louisiana.” He served as grand marshal for Krewe of Boo’s annual Halloween parade in 2022, following in the footsteps of Mannie Fresh. His recent successes led him to be invited to speak to music industry students at the University of Lafayette.

As a producer and engineer, Kr3wcial has worked with Tarriona “Tank” Ball of Tank and the Bangas, NBA YoungBoy, Zaytoven, and longtime friend Pell. Described by OffBeat Magazine as making “expressive and groovy music, heavy on instrumental vibes and imbued with the influence of the loosely organized Soulquarians collective of the late 1990s and early 2000s,” Kr3wcial has been actively releasing material since 2012.
