About Flagboy Giz
Flagboy Giz is a 8-year veteran of the historic Wild Tchoupitoulas Black Masking Indians. The tribe’s music was made famous in the 70s by The Meters/ The Neville Brothers. His debut album “Flagboy of the Nation” is an homage to the traditional musical spirit of the Wild Tchoupitoulas combined with the sounds of early New Orleans Hip-Hop Brass Band, Bounce, and the traditional Mardi Gras Indian sound.
His Second EP “I Got Indian In My Family” has been called “The Most Authentic Mardi Gras Indian Album in 50 years” by hundreds of New Orleanians posting feedback and responses.
With Heavy Hip Hop Infusion merge with the Mardi Gras Indian Sound, tFlagboy Giz can perform with a live band or simply with a DJ.
